    Republic of Ireland Links - N14/N15 upgrade schemes at Lifford and N2 upgrade schemes south of the border in Monaghan.

    Current stage

    The PAC has provided its final report from the latest public inquiry on the scheme to the Department and this has been considered in detail by the project team.

    Current position

    It is anticipated that the Minister will make an announcement on progression of the scheme imminently. This could allow construction work to commence in early 2025.

    A0004 Enniskillen Southern Bypass

    Location

    Extends from A0004 Dublin Road to A0004 Sligo Road, across River Erne on the southern side of the town.

    Scheme description

    Provision of a new transport link built to 2+1 standard (i.e. one lane each way plus an alternating overtaking lane) to the southern side of the town, improving the connection between the A0004 Dublin Road and the A0004 Sligo Road.

    The construction tender process is currently underway.

    Current position

    Advanced site works including site clearance, fencing and NIE diversionary works are not completed. Progression to construction once tender process has been completed and contractor appointed.
