A32 Route Improvement Strategy
In 2006, Improvements to the A32 were first identified in the consultation document ‘Expanding the Strategic Road Improvement (SRI) Programme 2015’, published in July 2006. Also in 2006, Roads Service developed the ‘A32 Omagh to Enniskillen Improvement Strategy’.
The strategy proposed a programme of both ‘on-line’ and ‘off-line’ improvement schemes to modern single carriageway standards with improved overtaking opportunities.
The programme included the delivery, in the short to medium term, of a number of schemes at the following locations:
- Shannaragh – Completed – Further information on A32 Shannaragh
- Drumskinney – Completed – Further information on A32 Drumskinney
- Cornamuck – Prioritised Road Scheme – Further information on A32 Cornamuck
- Kilgortnaleague – Other Schemes awaiting the new RSTNTP – Further information on A32 Kilgortnaleague
- Esker Bog (Dromore) – Other Schemes awaiting the new RSTNTP– Further information on A32 Esker Bog (Dromore)
