A Synopsis of Consultation Responses on Proposed Changes to Green Card Legislation

On 25 February 2026, the Department for Infrastructure (“the Department”) launched a targeted consultation on proposals to amend legislation governing proof of motor insurance for visiting motorists entering Northern Ireland, specifically in relation to Green Cards. The consultation closed on 22 April 2026.
