The works will extend for a distance of approximately 0.8 kilometres from the junction with C92 Newbridge Road to the junction at C93 Seacon Road and will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of the road.

To facilitate the works it will be necessary to operate a road closure between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm from Monday 8 February until Friday 12 February. During these times a diversion will be in place via B62 Portrush Road-B62 Coleraine Road-C92 Newbridge Road and vice versa.

A weekend road closure planned for traffic on the A26 Newbridge Road, Ballymoney has had to be deferred from this weekend due to an adverse weather forecast. The road will now be closed between the hours of 7.30 am and 7.00 pm from Saturday 20 February until Sunday 21 February 2021. During these times a two way diversion will be in place via B62 Ballybogey Road - B67 Ballyrashane Road - A29 Ring Road - A26 Newbridge Road.

Local access for residents and emergency services will be maintained at all times.

The Department has carefully planned these road works and associated traffic management arrangements in order to minimise inconvenience to the public. Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journey and to follow the alternative routes which will be clearly signed on the approaches to the closure.

Completion of the work is dependent on favourable weather conditions and the Department will keep the public informed of any change. All work will be carried out in line with current public health and health and safety advice, with safe systems of working in place for staff and contractors.
