Minister Mallon said:

“I have made clear my intent to tackle the regional imbalance in infrastructure. I want any investment in road maintenance to reflect the need across our entire network. I am pleased to announce this road improvement scheme in Ardallan Park, Mourne Drive and Rossmara Park, which represents an investment of £165,000, in the Warrenpoint area. This scheme will greatly enhance the road surface for all who use it and will better connect the local community and visitors to the area for many years to come.

“Our local engineering staff are working with our stakeholders to co-ordinate these essential roadworks and are publishing details in advance to help people plan alternate routes.”

To help ensure the safety of those using the roads, it will be necessary to operate daily weekday road closures between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm on the dates noted below:

  • Ardallan Park from Wednesday 18 March until Wednesday 1 April.  A signed diversion will be in place via Upper Dromore Road, East Street, Summerhill, Clonallan Road, Rossmara Park and vice versa.
