    Date published: 23 October 2020

A £148,000 footway and carriageway resurfacing scheme on Glenburn Road, Dunmurry is due to commence on Monday 9 November 2020.

    Lane closure during resurfacing work

The resurfacing work, which stretches from Glenburn Road Park South to Glenann Avenue, will greatly improve the quality of the footway and carriageway.

To help ensure the safety of road users and workers the improvements will be carried out under a daily road closure between the hours of 8.00 am and 4.30 pm from Monday 2 November until Monday 14 December.

Diversionary routes will be clearly signed during periods of closure and access for residents will be maintained as much as possible. We would ask the public to comply with all temporary traffic restrictions and to exercise extra care when travelling in the area.

Completion of the scheme by 14 December 2020 will be dependent on favourable weather conditions.

Whilst the Department has carefully planned these road works and associated traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, road users should expect delays and allow additional time when planning any journey. All work will be carried out in line with current public health and health and safety advice, with safe systems of working in place for staff and contractors.
