£103,000 road resurfacing scheme at Annadale Avenue, Belfast

Date published: 21 February 2017

A £103,000 carriageway resurfacing scheme on Annadale Avenue Belfast is due to commence on Saturday 25 February 2017.

Raking whilst resurfacing a footway

The scheme, on Annadale Avenue from Mornington to its junction with Ormeau Road, will greatly improve the surface quality of the carriageway. It is expected to be completed by 5 March 2017.

The work will be carried out over two consecutive weekends, 25 and 26 February and 4 and 5 March 2017.

Road closures will be in place from 6.00 am each Saturday until 8.00 pm each Sunday.

Diversion routes will be signed.  Local access for residents will be maintained at all times during the scheme.

The dates and duration of the road closures will be dependent on the progress of the scheme and on favourable weather conditions. In order to help ensure the safety of road users and road workers the public is asked to comply with all temporary traffic restrictions and to drive with care when travelling through, or in the vicinity, of the works.

Whilst TransportNI has carefully planned these road works and associated traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, motorists should expect delays and allow additional time when planning any journey.
