  • A28 Loughgilly resurfacing – Sunday 2 April closure

    To allow completion of resurfacing work on the A28 Armagh Road at Loughgilly, a lane closure under traffic signals will be in operation on Saturday 1 April 2023 from 8.00 am - 7.00 pm with a full closure required for Sunday 2 April from 8.00 am - 7.00 pm. The road will be open to traffic outside of these times and local access to businesses will be maintained.

    Traffic travelling toward Newry (Southbound) will be diverted via the B133 Bessbrook Road, Mountnorris, Bessbrook and A25 Camlough Road, with traffic travelling towards Armagh (Northbound) via the A28 Gosford Road, Poyntzpass, Tandragee and Markethill. The weekday lane closures under traffic signal control will continue to operate until completion of the works which is anticipated to be by Tuesday 4 April.
