    The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Urban Clearways (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2026” (S.R. 2026 No. 165) which comes into operation on 24 October 2026.

    The Rule introduces a clearway on stretches of both sides of Mountjoy Road, Strathroy Road and Gortin Road, Omagh on Monday to Friday between 8.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. and between 2.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. Vehicles are excepted from the restriction in certain circumstances.

    A copy of the Rule may be viewed at DfI offices during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) by appointment only. Appointments can be arranged either by email to trafficwestern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk or by telephone on 0300 200 7899. The Rule may also be viewed online at: www.legislation.gov.uk/nisr
