Consultees were asked to consider extending the validity period of the Ukrainian driving licence. Views were also sought on suggested road safety considerations put forward by the Department.
On 6 September, the Department published a consultation paper setting out a proposal on extending the current validity period of Ukrainian driving licences in Northern Ireland. The consultation closed on 3 October 2023.
