The Department for Infrastructure has made a Statutory Rule entitled The Schools (Part-Time 20mph Speed Limit) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2018, (S.R. 2018 No. 203), which comes into operation on 3 December 2018.

Details

The Order will introduce a part-time speed limit of 20 miles per hour on lengths of the following roads:

  • Ardmore Road, Londonderry adjacent to Glendermott Primary School; and
  • Ballougry Hill Road and Mullenan Road, Londonderry adjacent to Ballougry Primary School.

The effect of the Order is that the national speed limit, which is applicable to those lengths of roads, shall be reduced to 20 miles per hour when a 20 miles per hour limit is indicated by means of a variable message traffic sign.
