Providing the Department for Infrastructure with powers to amend, update or revoke certain regulations made under 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 which were lost as a result of EU exit.
Without powers to amend these two Regulations, the Department will be unable to update and modernise the Drainage (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2017 and the Water Environment (Floods Directive) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009. This could leave this legislation unsuitable for future use.
