The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2026

The Department for Infrastructure has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2026”, (S.R. 2026 No. 69) which comes into operation on 21 April 2026.
The Rule will create parking places with unlimited waiting in Belfast, Coleraine, Cookstown, Derry/Londonderry, Irvinestown and Newry; remove parking places with unlimited waiting in Belfast, Cookstown and Derry/Londonderry; and also amend the description of parking places with limited waiting in Derry/Londonderry and Irvinestown.
All parking places are for the use of disabled persons’ vehicles only.
