The Department for Infrastructure has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment No. 5) Order (Northern Ireland) 2024”, (S.R. 2024 No. 181) which comes into operation on 6 November 2024.
The Rule will create parking places with unlimited waiting in Ballyronan, Belfast, Derry/Londonderry, Downpatrick, Dromore, County Tyrone, Irvinestown, Loughbrickland, Newcastle, Newry, Newtownards, Sion Mills and Warrenpoint and parking places with waiting limited to 2 hours Monday to Saturday between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm with no return to a parking place for 1 hour at Belfast.
The Rule will also remove parking places with unlimited waiting at Belfast, Derry/Londonderry, Downpatrick, Holywood, Larne and Newtownards.
