The Department for Infrastructure has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment No. 4) Order (Northern Ireland) 2024”, (S.R. 2024 No. 179) which comes into operation on 6 November 2024.

Details

The Rule will create parking places with unlimited waiting in Ballymena, Belfast, Derry/Londonderry, Irvinestown, Larne and Magherafelt and remove parking places with unlimited waiting in Belfast, Derry/Londonderry and Irvinestown.

The Rule will also create a parking place with limited waiting Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm with waiting limited to 1 hour with no return to a parking place for 1 hour at Derry/Londonderry and insert a definition for the City of Londonderry when referring to Derry/Londonderry in the Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) Order (Northern Ireland) Order 2016.
