The Department for Infrastructure has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2024”, (S.R. 2024 No. 164) which comes into operation on 7 October 2024.

Details

The Rule will create parking places with unlimited waiting in Belfast, Carrickfergus, Irvinestown, Sion Mills and Strabane and create a parking place with limited waiting Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 6.00 pm with waiting limited to 2 hours with no return to a parking place for 1 hour in Belfast.

The Rule will also remove parking places with unlimited waiting in Belfast and Holywood.
