The Parking and Waiting Restrictions (Londonderry) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2022, No. 20

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Parking and Waiting Restrictions (Londonderry) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2022”, (S.R. 2022 No. 20), which comes into operation on 21 February 2022.

Details

The Rule will-

  • reduce the length of a parking place on Little James Street by 12.6 metres and change the 12.6 metres to a no waiting at any time prohibition (loading and unloading not permitted);
  • authorise a length of Asylum Road for the use as parking places and prescribe the conditions under which they may be used. Between 8.00 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on the days Monday to Saturday inclusive parking will be limited to 1 hour with no return within 1 hour;
  • prohibit vehicles waiting at any time (loading and unloading not permitted) on a length of Magazine Street, New Buildings Industrial Estate and Shipquay Street and on lengths of Asylum Road; and
  • prohibit vehicles waiting at any time (loading and unloading permitted) on lengths of Bonds Hill and on a length of Browning Drive.

Vehicles are excepted from the conditions and prohibitions in certain circumstances.
