The purpose of this document is to outline the proper procedures that DVA Enforcement officers must follow when conducting roadside vehicle exhaust noise measurements of stationary vehicles during operations.
Exhaust noise measurements are currently tested subjectively at the roadside; however, this policy introduces a more accurate, measured test.
