Consultation outcome - proposal for the mandatory wearing of helmets on motor tricycles

On 24 June 2015, the Department issued a consultation on proposals to make the wearing of helmets mandatory for riders of and passengers on motor tricycles used on public roads.
The consultation was issued to key stakeholders, including members of the Department’s Motorcycle Safety Forum and was also made available on the Department’s website.
The consultation ended on 19 August 2015. The Department received 104 responses. The attached document provides a summary of consultation responses and details the government response.
