This stage 3 report identifies clearly the advantages and disadvantages, in environmental, engineering, economic and traffic terms, of the overseeing Department's preferred route or scheme option.
A particular requirement at this stage is the assessment of the significant environmental effects of the project, in accordance with the requirements of Article 39B of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1980, implementing EC Directive 85/337.
