2026 Speed Limit Review Response Report

The Department for Infrastructure is pleased to publish the 2026 Speed Limit Review Response Report, which sets out the findings of the recently undertaken public consultation.
The consultation provided an opportunity for individuals, communities, representative organisations, local councils and other stakeholders to share their views on number of speed related matters. The responses received have provided valuable evidence and insight into the potential impacts of speed limit changes on road safety, active travel, accessibility and local communities. The findings presented in this report will help inform the Department's ongoing consideration of speed limit policy
