    Date published: 16 March 2021

A £120,000 carriageway and footway resurfacing scheme on Merrion Park, Belfast is due to commence on Monday 22 March 2021.

    Lane closure during resurfacing work

The resurfacing works will extend the entire length of Merrion Park and will include adjoining cul-de-sacs.

To help ensure the safety of road users and workers it will be necessary to implement a series of daily road closures (Monday to Friday) between the hours of 8.00 am and 6.00 pm, from Monday 22 March until Friday 2 April 2021. Access for residents will be maintained as much as possible.

Whilst the Department has carefully planned these road works and associated traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, road users should allow additional time when travelling in the area and are asked to comply with all temporary traffic restrictions.

Completion of the scheme by 2 April 2021 will be dependent on favourable weather conditions.

All work will be carried out in line with current public health and health and safety advice, with safe systems of working in place for staff and contractors.
