Resurfacing works for Coalisland Town Centre

Date published: 28 July 2023

A resurfacing scheme for Coalisland Town Centre is due to commence on Monday 31 July 2023

Resurfacing work

The works includes strengthening and resurfacing of 260 metres of carriageway from Platters Hill to Brackaville Road, including the double mini roundabout.

To help ensure the safety of those using the road and to facilitate the works it will be necessary to operate a road closure from 7.00 pm to 6.00 am from Monday 31 July to Friday 4 August, and from Monday 7 August to Tuesday 8 August. The road will be open during daytime hours and at the weekend.

During this closure a two way signed diversion will be in place via A45 Ballynakilly Road, B520 Moore Road and Annagher Road.

The Department has carefully planned these road works and associated traffic management arrangements in order to minimize inconvenience to the public. Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journey and to follow the alternative routes which will be clearly signed on the approaches to the closure. Access for property owners and deliveries will be accommodated.

Completion of the work is subject to favourable weather conditions, however, the Department will keep the public informed of any change. All work will be carried out in line with current public health and health and safety advice, with safe systems of working in place for staff and contractors.
