    Date published: 10 July 2023

A resurfacing scheme on the A42 Mayogall Road, Gulladuff, will commence on Monday 24 July 2023.

    Resurfacing work

The resurfacing works will extend from the mini roundabout at Gulladuff Road for 1.2 kilometres to the National Speed Limit Signs. The resurfacing works will deliver significant improvements to both the structural integrity and surface quality of this road for many years to come.

To facilitate the safe delivery of the scheme it will be necessary to implement a full road closure. This will be in place daily between the hours of 7.00am and 6.00pm from Monday 24 July until Friday 4 August 2023.

During these times a two-way signed diversionary route will be in place via the B182 Gulladuff Road and A54 Ballymacombs Road. Local access within the extent of the works will be facilitated.

Subject to favourable weather conditions all work will be completed by 4 August 2023 however, the Department will keep the public informed of any unforeseen changes.

The Department has programmed the work operations and traffic management arrangements to minimise inconvenience, however, drivers should expect some delays and are advised to allow additional time for their journey.

In order to help ensure the safety of road users and road workers the public is asked to comply with all temporary traffic restrictions and to drive with extra care when travelling in the vicinity of the works.
