    Date published: 23 October 2023

A carriageway resurfacing scheme on the A29 Dunhill Road Roundabout will commence this evening (Monday 23 October) at 7.00pm

    Road resurfacing

The works will involve approximately 5300 square metres of resurfacing on the roundabout and its entry/exit lanes. This work will deliver significant improvements to both the structural integrity and surface quality of this busy roundabout which links the main trunk roads between Coleraine, Limavady and Garvagh for many years to come.

To facilitate the scheme it will be necessary to implement a full road closure. This will be in place overnight from Monday 23 October until Sunday 5 November 2023 between the hours of 7.00 pm and 7.00 am.

During these times a signed diversionary route will be in place for

    Limavady traffic via

    • B201 Greenhall Highway – B201 Windyhill Road and vice versa.

    And for Garvagh traffic via

    • A54 Castleroe Road – A54 Curragh Road – B66 Glenkeen Road – B66 Moneybrannon Road – B66 Ardreagh Road – B66 Greenhill Road – A29 Drumcroone Road and vice versa.

Subject to favourable weather conditions all work will be completed by 5 November 2023 however, the Department will keep the public informed of any unforeseen changes.

The Department has programmed the work operations and traffic management arrangements to minimise inconvenience, however, drivers should expect some delays and are advised to allow additional time for their journey.

In order to help ensure the safety of road users and road workers the public is asked to comply with all temporary traffic restrictions and to drive with extra care when travelling in the vicinity of the works.
