  • £98,000 road improvement scheme for Castlederg

    A £98,000 resurfacing and reconstruction scheme has commenced on the U101 Castlefin Road, Castlederg.

    Road resurfacing

    Work began on 5 February to resurface a section of the road heading northwards from Ferguson Crescent. It is expected work will be completed by early April 2018.

    To facilitate the resurfacing it will be necessary to implement a full road closure throughout the period of the work. A diversion route will be clearly signposted via the C675 Killeter Rd, C675 Kilclean Rd, to U101 Castlefin Road and vice versa. Access for local residents and businesses shall be accommodated.

    Road users should expect some delays and additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.

    The work is subject to favourable weather conditions however the Department will keep the public informed of any change.
