Date published: 26 July 2018

A £50,000 resurfacing scheme is due to commence on the A5 Bradley Way, Strabane on 6 August 2018.

Raking whilst resurfacing a footway

The works, along a stretch of approximately 240 metres between Bradley Way Roundabout and Lifford Road Roundabout, will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of the road.

To facilitate the work it will be necessary to implement overnight road closures between the hours of 7.00 pm and 6.00 am from Tuesday 7 August until Thursday 9 August and again from Tuesday 14 August until Thursday 16 August 2018.  During these times a diversionary route shall operate via A5 Bradley Way, B72 Bridge Street, B72 Market Street, B72 Abercorn Square and B72 Railway Street and vice versa.  Access for emergency services shall be accommodated throughout.

Whilst the Department for Infrastructure has carefully planned these road works and associated traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, motorists should expect delays and allow additional time when planning any journey.

Subject to favourable weather conditions the works is expected to be completed by the 17 August, however, the Department will keep the public informed of any change.
