Date published:
A £350,000 carriageway resurfacing scheme on the A29 Dungannon Road, Cookstown will commence on Monday 6 August 2018.
The works, which will extend for a distance of approximately 2.1km from its junction with Drumconnor Road to 650m north of Lisnanane Lane, will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of this section of the road.
To help minimise any inconvenience to the travelling public and local businesses two-way traffic flow will be maintained on the A29 Dungannon Road via traffic control. A mandatory 40mph speed limit will also be enforced during this period and overtaking will be prohibited.
The Department has carefully programmed the works operations and traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, however motorists should be aware that some delays should be expected and that additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.
Work is expected to be completed by early September however dates are subject to favourable weather conditions and the Department will keep the public informed of any change.
