    Topics:
    • Major Roads Programme

    Date published: 29 March 2017

£181,000 footway and carriageway resurfacing schemes in Hillside Drive, Hillside Park and Hillside Gardens, Belfast have commenced.

    Raking whilst resurfacing a footway

These schemes in the Hillside area will greatly improve the surface quality of the footways and carriageways. They are expected to be completed by 26 May 2017.

The works on the roads will be carried out Monday to Friday each week between the hours of 8.00 am to 6.00 pm. Local access for residents will be maintained at all times during the scheme.

The dates and duration of the road closures will be dependent on the progress of the scheme and on favourable weather conditions. In order to help ensure the safety of road users and road workers, the public is asked to comply with all temporary traffic restrictions and to drive with care when travelling through, or in the vicinity, of the works.

The Department has carefully planned these road works and associated traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, however, motorists should expect delays and allow additional time when planning any journey.
