Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journey if travelling on the A2 carriageway at Tillysburn on the evening of Saturday 21 September 2024 / morning of Sunday 22 September 2024.
An overnight road closure will be in place in both directions for essential maintenance works from 11pm on Saturday 21 September to 6am on Sunday 22 September.
Diversion routes will be signposted and access to Belfast City Airport can be made via the local road network. The Department asks road users to slow down when travelling in the vicinity of the works and abide by the temporary traffic management arrangements which are in place to ensure their own safety and the safety of our workers and contractors.
The Department has carefully planned these road works and associated traffic management arrangements in order to minimise inconvenience to the public. Those road users, particularly those travelling to Belfast City Airport are advised to allow extra time for their journey.
