  • O’Dowd welcomes acceptance of NI Water pay award

    Infrastructure Minister John O’Dowd has welcomed Unions’ acceptance of the NI Water pay award.

    Speaking after meeting with Unite the Union and GMB representatives, the Minister said: 

    “My approval of the pay award for NI Water rightly recognised the essential public service provided by frontline staff. I was pleased to have the opportunity to discuss this with union representatives today, and to hear that they have accepted the 23/24 pay award.

    “Resolution of this matter means that there will be no disruption to water supply and wastewater services for homes and business throughout the North.”

    1. The pay award represents a of 5% consolidated uplift and a £1500 non-consolidated payment for 2023-24.
