The competition aims to appoint members who will bring his or her experience and judgement to the Board and help develop the diversity of the Board and be representative of the society they serve.

Minister Chris Hazzard said:

“These key posts offer an excellent opportunity for individuals to make a tangible and valued contribution to the management of the important port.

“I would encourage anyone who considers that they meet the criteria and can bring with them a genuine desire to make a contribution to the work of the Port to seriously considering applying.”

The time commitment for Warrenpoint Harbour Authority will be approximately 1-2 business days per month. The member will be expected to attend Board meetings and other ad hoc meetings as required. The member will receive remuneration of approximately £7,117 and reasonable travel and subsistence costs.

The appointments will be effective from 1 November 2016 and will run for a period of four years.
