The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Urban Clearways (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2021.

The Order will revoke an existing clearway on Shore Road, Newtownabbey and replace it with a clearway on both sides of Shore Road, Greenisland/Newtownabbey on Monday to Friday between 8.00 am and 9.30 am and between 3.00 pm and 6.30 pm Vehicles are excepted from the restriction in certain circumstances.

Inspecting the proposal

Full details are contained in the draft Order which, together with maps showing the road involved, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period stated at:

During the current Covid-19 restrictions, access to this building is limited and inspection of the draft Order and maps is by appointment only which can be arranged either by e-mail using the e-mail address below or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.

Making an objection

Any person may, within the period stated, object or make other representations to the proposal by writing to the Department at the address above or by emailing dfiroads.northern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk stating the grounds for objection.
