Summary

Notice is hereby given under Article 65 of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993 the Department proposes to construct a total of 4 No. flat top road humps.

Consultation description

The speed control features will be constructed in accordance with the Road Hump Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999.

The road humps will extend across the whole width of the carriageway with a height of no more than 100 mm above the existing road surface.

The scheme will consist of:

  • A flat top road hump, which will be side tapered and will measure approximately 5.8m in width, 3.5m in length and 25mm in height, on the Blackisland Road at approximately 101 metres NW of its junction with Derrygavad Road.
  • A flat top road hump, which will be side tapered and will measure approximately 5.8m in width, 4.5m in length and 50mm in height, on the Blackisland Road at approximately 16 metres south-east of its junction with Derrygavad Road.
  • A flat top road hump, which will be side tapered and will measure approximately 5.8m in width, 4.7m in length and 75mm in height, on the Blackisland Road at approximately 98 metres north-west of its junction with Ardress Road.
  • A flat top road hump, which will be side tapered and will measure approximately 6.5m in width, 4.7m in length and 75mm in height, on the Blackisland Road at approximately 47 metres north-west of its junction with Ardress Road.

A map showing the proposed scheme may be inspected free of charge during office hours at Marlborough House, Craigavon.

Making an objection

Objections to the proposals may be made in writing to the Department at the address below or by email to tnindcraigavon@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk before 15 March 2021.
