    Summary

    Notice is hereby given that under ‘Article 65’ of the ‘Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993’ the Department for Infrastructure proposes the installation of traffic calming measures on Ashgrove Road, Newtownabbey to control the speed of traffic.

    Consultation description

    The works will consist of:
    Installation:
    • 1 Flat top road hump 5m long, tapered 7.4m wide and 80mm high
    • 1 No of twin speed cushions 3.1m long, 1.9m and 75mm high
    • 1 Flat top road hump 4.5m long, tapered 11.1 wide and 80mm high
    • 2 Flat top road humps 4.5m long, tapered 11m wide and 80mm high
    • 1 Flat top road hump 4m long, tapered 8.6m wide and 80mm high
    As indicated in drawing TC-2601-1
    All road humps will be constructed in accordance with The ‘Road Humps Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999’. All road markings and signage will be in accordance with the ‘Traffic Signs Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997’.
     

    Inspecting the proposal
    Full details showing the proposed road layout may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period below at-

    Access to this building is limited and inspection of the traffic calming proposal is by appointment only which can be arranged either by email using traffic.northern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) on 0300 200 7899.
     

    Making an objection
    Any person may object or make other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, to the Department at the address above or by emailing traffic.northern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk within a period of 33 days from the date of publication of this Notice.
