Consultation description
Across the world deaths on the road remain unacceptably high. One life lost on our roads is one too many and while there has been considerable progress in reducing road deaths, there is more that we can and must do to make our roads safer for everyone.
Your answers will help the Department for Infrastructure understand the public’s opinion on three main areas:
- 20mph speed limits
- National speed limit on single carriageway rural roads, dual carriageway roads; and,
- Speed limits for Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs).
The questionnaire should take approximately fifteen minutes to complete.
All responses are anonymous and will be used solely for research purposes.
By proceeding, you confirm that you are a resident of Northern Ireland and you consent to your answers being analysed and published as part of the overall speed limit review. No personal information will be gathered as part of this questionnaire.
The Speed Limit Review Consultation will close on 22 April 2026.
Thank you for taking part in this survey.
