    Consultation description

    The Order will–
    • apply a 30 miles per hour speed limit to a length of Ardmore Road. Derry/Londonderry.
    • apply a 40 miles per hour speed limit to Lismacarol Roundabout and to lengths of Glenshane Road and Tirbracken Road, Drumahoe.
    • de-restrict lengths of A6 Dual Carriageway, Ardmore Road, Baranailt Road, Claudy Park & Ride access Road, Foreglen Road, Gulf Road, Claudy; A6 Dual Carriageway, Ervy Road, Glenshane Road Lismacarol Road, and Tamnaherin Road, Drumahoe; A6 Dual Carriageway, Chapel Road, Feeny Road, and Glenshane Road, Dungiven, so that the national speed limit applies.
    • revoke a number of other speed limits so that a 30 miles per hour speed limit (restricted by street lighting) will apply to Gulf Road, Clady and Ardmore Road, Derry/Londonderry. Vehicles are excepted from the restrictions in certain circumstances.

    Inspecting the proposal
    Full details are contained in the draft Order which, together with maps showing the roads involved, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the stated period at DfI Roads Northern Division, County Hall, Castlerock Road, Coleraine, BT51 3HS or by emailing: dfiroads.northern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk; and DfI Roads Western Division, Network Development, 1 Crescent Road, Londonderry, BT47 2NQ or by emailing: trafficwestern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk
    Inspection of the draft Order is by appointment only which can be arranged either by email using the office e-mail address above or by telephone during office hours (Mon to Fri 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) on 0300 200 7899.
