Notice is hereby given that under ‘Article 65’ of the ‘Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993’ the Department for Infrastructure proposes to alter the traffic calming measures on Dorchester Park, Belfast to control the speed of traffic.

The works will consist of:

Relocation of:  

  • One flat top taper sided road hump,

All road humps will be constructed in accordance with The ‘Road Humps Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999’.  All road markings and signage will be in accordance with the ‘Traffic Signs Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997’. 

Inspecting the proposals

Full details showing the proposed road layout may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period below at DfI Roads and Rivers Eastern Division, Traffic Management 3, Annexe 7, Castle Buildings, Stormont Estate, Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast, BT4 3SQ.

During the current Covid-19 restriction access to this building is limited and inspection of the traffic calming proposal is by appointment only which can be arranged either by email using traffic.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899. 

Making an objection

Any person may object or make other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, by writing to the Department at the address above or by emailing traffic.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk no later than Tuesday 3 May 2022 at 5.00 pm.
