The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) proposes to make an Order entitled The Parking Places on Roads (Castle Place, Belfast) Order (Northern Ireland) 2022.

Consultation description

The Order will authorise a parking place on a length of Castle Place, Belfast.

Between the hours of 11.00 am and 6.00 pm the use of the parking place will be restricted to disabled persons’ vehicles only with parking limited to a maximum of 3 hours with return to the parking places prohibited until 1 hour has expired.

Between the hours of 6.00 pm and 11.00 am the use of the parking place will be restricted to the loading and unloading of certain goods.

Vehicles are excepted from the conditions in certain circumstances.

The Order will also revoke certain existing parking places in Castle Place.

Inspecting the proposals

Full details are contained in the draft Order which together with a map showing the road involved may be inspected free of charge, during office hours, by 4 February at:

During the current Covid-19 restrictions, access to this building is limited and inspection of the draft Order and map is by appointment only which can be arranged either by email using traffic.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.

Making an objection

Any person may object or make other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, by writing to the Department at Roads Eastern Division at the address above or by emailing traffic.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk within a period of 22 days from the date of publication of this Notice.
