    The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made The Experimental Traffic Control Scheme – Loading Bay and Parking Place Church Street, Antrim, for a period of 6 months, which comes into operation on 23rd February 2026.

    Consultation description

    The scheme will provide for a loading bay on a length of Church Street, Antrim for the use of goods vehicles to load and unload certain goods to operate between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive. Vehicles are excepted from the conditions in certain circumstances.
    The scheme will also authorise a length of Church Street, Antrim for the use as a parking place and prescribe the conditions under which it may be used. Between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. Monday to Saturday inclusive, parking will be limited to 1 hour with return to the parking place prohibited until 2 hours has expired. Vehicles are excepted from the conditions in certain circumstances.
    The Department will consider in due course whether the provisions of the scheme should continue indefinitely.

    Making an objection

    Within a period of 6 months from 23rd February 2026 any person may object to the making of a traffic regulation order for the purpose of continuing the provisions of the scheme in force indefinitely.
    Any such objection or other representation must be made in writing to the Department at DfI TRAM Northern Division, Traffic Management, County Hall, 182 Galgorm Road, Ballymena, BT42 1QG or by emailing dfiroads.northern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk stating the grounds of objection.
