    Summary

    The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) being of the opinion that the road is not necessary for road traffic, gives notice of its intention to make an Order under Article 68 of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993.

    Consultation description

    The effect of the Order would be to abandon an area of 1616 square metres of road and turning head at Craighill Park, Ballyclare commencing at a point 75 metres east of its junction with Ballyeaston Road and extending for a distance of 87 metres.


    Inspection of the proposal
    The area proposed to be abandoned is delineated on a map, which together with a copy of a draft Order, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period 18 August 2026 to 28 September 2026 at-

    Inspection of the draft Order is by appointment only which can be arranged either by e-mail using the e-mail address below, or by telephone on 0300 200 7899 during office hours (Mon to Fri 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.).
