The effect of the Order would be to abandon an area of 4,010 square metres of Whitehouse Road, Londonderry extending from a point 302 metres south-west of its junction with Coshquin Road for a distance of 495 metres in a south-westerly direction after completion of such works as the Department considers necessary for the provision of alternative facilities for road traffic.

Inspecting the proposals

The area of road proposed to be abandoned is delineated on a map which, together with a copy of a draft order, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period 14th June 2022 to 25th July 2022 at DfI Roads Western Division, 1 Crescent Road, Londonderry.

Due to ongoing Covid-19 guidance, access to this building is limited and inspection of the draft Order and map is by appointment only which can be arranged either by email using the DfI roads email address below or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.

Making an objection

Any person may, within the period above, object to the proposal by writing to the Department at DfI Roads Western Division, County Hall, Drumragh Avenue, Omagh, BT79 7AF or by emailing dfiroads.western@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk stating the grounds of the objection.
