Abandonment – Circular Road, Larne

Summary

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) gives notice of its intention to make an Order under Article 68 of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993, the effect of which would be to abandon an area of 71.11 square metres of former road on Circular Road, Larne comprising a car park, from a point 154 metres west of its junction with Circular Road Roundabout.

Inspecting the proposal

The area of road proposed to be abandoned is delineated on a map which, together with a copy of a draft order, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period from 22 March 2022 to 29 April 2022 at:

DfI Roads Northern Division,
County Hall,
Galgorm Road,
Ballymena,
BT42 1QG.

 

Due to ongoing Covid-19 guidance, access to this building is limited and inspection of the draft Order is by appointment only which can be arranged either by e-mail using the e-mail address above or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) on 0300 200 7899.

Making an objection

Any person may, within the period above, object to the proposal by writing to DfI Roads Northern Division, Causeway Coast and Glens West Section Office, County Hall, Castlerock Road, Coleraine, BT51 3HS or by emailing landsofficecoleraine@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk stating the grounds of the objection.
