The Northern Ireland transport statistics annual report presents information on the road network, public transport and accessible transport in Northern Ireland.
User engagement
Analysis, Statistics and Research Branch (ASRB) within the Department carried out a user engagement in relation to the Northern Ireland Transport Statistics annual report. The engagement ran from 14th June 2021 to 9th July 2021. The outcome summary of this user engagement has been released.
Previous user engagement 2018
Analysis, Statistics and Research Branch (ASRB) within the Department carried out a user consultation exercise in relation to the Northern Ireland Transport Statistics annual report. The consultation period ran from 8 January 2018 to 2 March 2018 and the outcome of the user consultation has been published.
Change to publication
As a result of this user consultation, a number of topics have been discontinued from the Northern Ireland transport statistics report. Editions prior to 2017-18 included information on vehicle registrations, driver and vehicle testing, freight, road safety, air transport and other transport statistics; statistics on these topics have been discontinued from the 2017-18 edition onwards.
NI Transports Statistics reports are available from 1999-00.
