| Detail | The Watercourse Maintenance Framework will establish five Measured Term Contracts covering a range of watercourse maintenance activities throughout Northern Ireland over a four-year in the following contract areas: A. WME1 (Armagh); B. WME2 (Lisburn and Greater Belfast); C. WMW1 (Coleraine); D. WMW2 (Omagh); and E. WMW3 (Fermanagh). The scope of works to be undertaken under each contract may include, but is not limited to, watercourse and channel maintenance; riverbank and flood defence upkeep; vegetation and scrub clearance; tree removal; and the provision of associated labour and plant. Suppliers may also be required to undertake ancillary tasks, such as the treatment of aquatic weeds and invasive species. |

| Detail | Interim Surfacing Contract ISC S1 (Down) is a Measured Term Contract (MTC) for the delivery of road surfacing maintenance and improvement works across the public road network within the Down contract area of the Department for Infrastructure, as defined in the procurement documentation. The works may include, but are not limited to: the delivery of two or more concurrent resurfacing schemes on public roads; machine-laid and hand-laid asphalt surfacing; carriageway reshaping; adjustment of street furniture to new levels; adjustment and/or provision of kerblines; adjustment and/or provision of carriageway drainage systems; temporary traffic management; road markings and studs; and other associated ancillary works. The contract will initially be awarded for a period of two months, with the option, at the sole discretion of the Contracting Authority, to extend the contract up to an overall maximum term of twelve months, subject to operational requirements and satisfactory performance. This procurement is being undertaken as an interim arrangement to ensure continuity of essential highway maintenance services and the delivery of safety-critical resurfacing works within the Down contract area. The short-term, interim contract will provide service continuity pending the procurement, award and mobilisation of a replacement surfacing contract under the Road Asset Management (RAM) Surfacing Framework, in accordance with the Department’s long-term procurement and delivery strategy. |
