Best Practice Protocol for the Operation of Planning Committees
A best practice protocol was provided by the former Department of the Environment to assist the 11 councils in setting up and running their planning committees.
This advice and guidance is not mandatory (although it does refer to a number of statutory requirements); rather it highlights what is considered to be best practice with regards to the operation of planning committees following research in other jurisdictions.
