This Order brings into operation Article 36 of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 2007. Article 36 inserts a new Article 19I into the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 so as to allow the Department of the Environment to grant access to driver licensing information held by it and to make regulations specifying the purposes for which that information may be used.
