Ports Review Policy – Recommendation 5: Harbour Orders, Screening form

The current Harbours Act (NI) 1970 states that only the Minister may make a harbour order. These orders are also all subject to affirmative resolution in the Assembly. This recommendation is that legislative changes are brought forward to include the directive that Statutory Harbour Authorities could initiate a harbour order.
