The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Parking Places on Roads and Waiting Restrictions (Dungannon) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2021” (S.R. 2021 No. 280), which comes into operation on 28 October 2021.

Details

The Rule will revoke certain existing parking places and waiting restrictions on lengths of Castle Hill, Scotch Street and Thomas Street. The Order will replace them with —

  • parking places on lengths of Castle Hill, Scotch Street and Thomas Street, with parking limited to 1 hour with return to a parking place prohibited for 1 hour between 8.15 am and 6.15 pm Monday to Saturday inclusive;
  • parking places for the use of disabled persons’ vehicles only, with unlimited waiting, on lengths of Castle Hill in front of No. 2 and to the side of Ranfurly House Arts and Visitor Centre and Scotch Street in front of No. 14/16;
  • a no waiting at any time restriction (loading and unloading permitted) on a length of Market Square; and
  • a no waiting at any time restriction (loading and unloading not permitted) on a length of Market Square.

The Rule will also introduce a no waiting at any time restriction (loading and unloading not permitted) on a length of Moy Road and Tamnamore Close and amend the description of an existing loading bay in Market Square.

Vehicles are excepted from the restrictions in certain circumstances.
