Parking Places – Disabled Persons’ Vehicles

The Department for Infrastructure has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles) (Amendment No. 4) Order (Northern Ireland) 2026”, (S.R. 2026 No. 166) which comes into operation on 24 October 2026.
The Rule will create parking places with unlimited waiting in Antrim, Aughnacloy, Ballyclare, Ballymena, Derry/Londonderry, Larne and Newtownabbey, remove parking places with unlimited waiting in Derry/Londonderry and also substitute a new description for a length of road in Ballymena.
The Rule will also create a parking place with waiting limited to 3 hours on Monday to Saturday between 8.00 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. with no return to the parking place for 1 hour in Derry/Londonderry.
All parking places are for the use of disabled persons’ vehicles only.
